When I thought of the way to distort people’s senses, I thought of conchs, which I’ve been so attracted to the mystery of the “sea” sounds from conchs since I was very young. Now I understand that the formation of this sound is because of the unique spiral structure inside the conchs. I 3D printed two conchs and wondered if they worked the same as the real ones, and it turned out that they could also distort the sounds we hear. So I used the two conchs I 3D printed to make a headphone, and people can hear this white noise inspired by nature when wearing the conch headphone. If I had more time, I would use the material for headbands to connect these conchs, so it fits people’s heads more and they can hear the sound more clearly.
